I’ve tested all of these techniques in college, but now of course with the anxiety to just start painting it is a little harder to make a lot of tests before actually painting. But of course, it is a primordial step of the painting process.

As watercolors puddles são parecidas com a técnica de blooming, mas quando dá errado.
É quando o acúmulo de água fica descontrolado e impede a construção de uma forma coerente na pintura. Isso aconteceu na pintura dos limões acima:
The darker area of this coffee cup shouldn’t have this bright area. It happened because I didn’t wait the paint underneath to dry before applying the layer of darker paint.
